Well well, a friend suggested using the TRX in conjunction with planks. The TRX Plank is known as the cornerstone position for any exercise on the TRX, and trying it for the first time, I didn't find it too difficult (except for getting my ankles into the loops).
I then tried to tuck in my knees to give it some variation.
